First, for our new readers, some Wideawakes history.

The Wakes have been in existence since the early 2000's, starting in the 18 and over division, then moving to 28A, 25A when the league reconfigured and in the 35A division from 2012-24. We played in 35AA in 2025-Spring, 2026. We have moved back to 35A for the Fall, 2026 season.

In that time frame, the Wakes have made the playoffs numerous times, and have been in five championship games (Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2017, Fall 2024). The Wakes lost the first four championship games, but finally broke through in Fall 2024 with a 7-3 win over the Boneheads.

Team managers have included Chris Roelle, Jim McDermott, Dave Tilley, Zach Leeds and now Jeff Kurtz.

Individual season and career statistical records are available in the Records section. There is also a list of retired jersey numbers from some of our long-time players in our Hall of Fame in the Bulletin Board and Awards sections.
